The nominees should be exemplary teachers, have served the Federation in some capacity either locally or provincially, have brought credit to the teaching profession through their ongoing accomplishments, and have made commendable contributions outside of their professional duties, at the community level.
The nominees should advocate for health and safety initiatives, be an active member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee, the Local Health & Safety Committee and / or the Provincial Health & Safety Committee, demonstrate a keen interest in all health and safety issues affecting teachers, exhibit an awareness and understanding of local and provincial issues, and have a history of Federation involvement.
The nominees should advocate for members, attend ETFO Local meetings regularly, demonstrate confidentiality and collegiality, conduct themselves in a professional manner, be aware of and understand local and provincial issues, and have a history of Federation involvement.
The nominees for Local Honorary Life Membership will have given outstanding service to the Local through involvement on committees, Executive or professional development. Nominees must be retired at the time of the nomination.
