# Wear Red4Ed October 23, 2025 **Wear Red4Ed – Every Monday!** ETFO Thames Valley Teacher Local members are encouraged to **wear red every Monday** in solidarity with our colleagues in Alberta, who are currently on strike. Across Alberta, more than **51,000 teachers** represented by the Alberta Teachers’ Association have walked off the job after rejecting a contract that failed to address pressing issues in schools — including **overcrowded classrooms, inadequate supports for students with complex needs, and fair compensation for educators.** The strike, which began in early October, has impacted **over 750,000 students** across the province.
