The ETFO TVTL New Teacher Focus Group scheduled for Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the Local office has been switched to a Zoom meeting.
We hope that you will join the meeting as your input is valuable to future education.
The Ontario Teacher’s Federation (OTF) is working with its Affiliates to hold face to face focus groups across the province with teachers in their first five years of teaching. The goal of each Learning from and with Beginning Teachers focus group is to directly inform the professional learning and supports provided by faculties of education, school boards and teacher federations.
Participants will engage in an appreciative inquiry process described below:
- What was the most meaningful learning experience you had as a teacher-candidate?
- What issues and challenges are you currently encountering in your classroom?
- What advice would you offer to faculties of education and school boards as they seek to best prepare and support beginning teachers?
